‘Show me your friends and I will tell you who you are’. This saying rings true as I grow older and hopefully wiser. My thoughts on this never ending subject are as follows:

I love love. I am in love and so happy, I think I am glowing and it shows. I am sure all of you want to hear about him and maybe even see him but I thought I should share what I have been learning in this relationship, because sharing is caring :).

I just had to jump on that end of year message train. You know the kind, lessons you have learnt in 2016 what you are hoping for in 2017 et al. 2016 has seen a lot of growth take place, ALOT!

I have done things I could only have dreamt of, met interesting people, shed a lot of tears fought through my fears and in the end made it out smelling like roses and cinnamon and chocolate and vanilla all mixed up together.

A letter to the 18 year old Sakina

Hey girl, how are you doing? First of all let me say you will eventually discover the right way to layer among other things because whatever was happening here… let’s not even talk about that. At this point in your life you were so glad to be done with High School and you were sure the world was waiting for you to bless it with your awesomeness. You were also trying to push away the eventual reveal of your KCSE results because you knew for sure you would feature nowhere in the top 100.
